H13 machine steel Welland Ontario $150

Very intesting! I found this statement especially really interesting. "Also available as Electro-Slag-Remelted (ESR) and Vacuum-Arc-Remelted (VAR) products as well." I noticed some large pieces have rough textured edges as if they were castings. I will have to check some of the notes on the pieces because there could be some reference there to the related metals discussed on these web pages.

Well if it is for molds then possibly that Arctic metal ingot is some form of a zinc based metal?
you could always try a acid test and see.

So I'm still wondering why some of the pieces are marked with a VAD and some pieces have a raw non-machined textured surface as though they were cut from 2.5 inch thick plate. The raw surfaces appear to be H13 not lead since they are rusty and are harder than lead.
