  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Good Day everyone, I'm Tim from Hamilton Ontario.
I'm no professional when it comes to metal working, I know enough to keep me out of trouble or is it get me into trouble?

Some of you might recognize the name KODASCOPE which was a name used by Kodak. I collect, repair, restore and play around with old movie projectors and cameras. Along with many other things from that era, phonographs, tape recoders etc.

Over the last couple years my workshop has grown with a mill and latest addition being a metal laith.

Welcome aboard, super fantastic forum, enjoy!

Born Hamilton, raised and educated Stoney Creek eons ago!

Welcome from Oakville. Are you making parts for cameras or projectors? Sounds challenging!

Welcome to this bunch.
Lots of experiences to share from many specialties.
BTW it‘s spelled ’Lathe’.
I am surprised one of the members didn’t point that out already - LOL.

If you like old timey stuff, check out cowboy shooting. There’s a match in your ‘hood tomorrow (Sunday). Bunch of grown men and ladies playing dress up, it’s a hoot.

Bring earmuffs :D
