Finally Here

Nice I’d say fix up the mechanical things first then do the boiler at least the parts are already made. Blondihacks has a couple vids on making a boiler.

The boiler and pressure vessel code is not secret. A proof test with water in a water bath is also quite doable. Push come to shove, one could bury a proper tank inside a cosmetic tank.......
I know about that. In fact, I did it once, installing a silver-soldered copper boiler inside a steel pipe shell (see photos).
In this case, though, I think I'll just keep the original.

Yes, it does.

Here's what it looked like at the garage sale where I found it.

I have since added the clear plastic pulley guard, as all those RPMs scare me....
Oh I love that yours came with a dial indicator already.

When I posted mine people asked what was with the top mount, but I didn't have a dial indicator to add to mine when I took some pics of it for posting.

Nice collection of tiny drill bits too.

Welcome from a fellow bungler and ubiquitous offshore 4x6 bandsaw owner from southern AB.

Your models look too good for you to have nothing to contribute.

If you don’t know what to talk about, just ask a question about lathe levelling or VFD’s….. that should get a conversation going real fast.
