  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Needs chains to keep it tamed and it needs a clutch, to much machine for me. lol

The model is Enterprise but who is the builder? I see an MK logo and the one label has Germany but I haven't found any references to the actual company.

In my recent experience, the new India is the old China. I've purchased roughly a dozen things from India in the last two years - some deliberately, some not knowing. All of it was junk. Usually an order of magnitude worse than claimed. It will be a long time before I buy anything else on purpose made in India.

My lathe is a MK as well. Very well built heavy castings. If it needs to be 1/2" make it an inch thick. They seem to have farmed the castings out all over for the precision work. My ways have Poland stamped on them. It will be the last lathe I own.
I wish they gave more facts in these ads, like headstock bore, etc
