You’re ahead of me because my shop garbage is overflowing. You are making the rest of us look bad.
I just worked up a plan to empty the garbage can in my workshop.
I think David designed and built a CNC garbage can.You are making the rest of us look bad.

I am going to build the basic unit according to the Tim Welds parts.I don't think I had watched any of Jer's videos before the grinder attachment video. That lead down the rabbit hole and I see why lots seems to be so excited about belt grinders. I see that TImWelds 2 x 48 belt grinder does not have seem to have the same functionality as Jer's design for attachments, while being much more portable. @David are you doing modifications for different attachments on your design or going directly from the files with the video? I think I would like the 2 x 48 for the reduced space it would require, as I am out of space in my shop without selling off tools.
The motor arrived today.
Gonna be good!
Oh I forgot to say that to get the pulley on I did have to flip it end for end so that did slow me down for 6 maybe 8 seconds. And the stool top spun around once so that also slowed me down. You know, if you want to get your production rate down to rates like most of us have, you have to stop buying new stuff that fits together. To be reasonably unsuccessful like most of us, you have to use old stuff that doesn't fit.
Almost makes one think they value customer satisfaction. In my giddy excitement about receiving the 1.5HP motor for my grinder I didn't notice that the fan shroud was damaged.
The motor spins freely and there's no contact between the fan and the shroud otherwise I would have noticed

I expect this was a result of not great packaging, it was just in a cardboard box.

I contacted e-motorsdirect who were willing to have me ship it back at their cost and send me a new one at no cost.
I said I wasn't interested in shipping it back due to the hassle and the motor worked worked fine.
They asked me to put in a warranty claim and they will refund 50% of the cost.
Edit: refund of $114 received two hours after submitting warranty claim.
They 100% do. They call me after every purchase to see if I'm happy and have given me lots of technical advice when I was researching VFDs for my CNC router. This is why I'm a loyal customer.Almost makes one think they value customer satisfaction.
It's 3-phase so no capacitor can.The only thing I'd keep an eye on is if the dent pushed the fan blade down a bit, it may have also pushed the centrifugal switch down and/or interfered if that's where its located. At least I think it single phase if that's the capacitor can. If it starts & runs, that's a good sign. But if you hear cogging or rough starts at some point, that could be the issue. Might be good to have a peek anyway.
I’ll definitely be implementing some kind of dust containment/collection system.
