Not strictly shop related but I did have to fetch tools from my recently excavated tool chest to install a front hitch on the truck.

No worries. They will lock him up and throw away the keys the first time he tries out that front hitch on the highway.......

Just like real airplanes have propellers and a tailwheel.

You'll like the front hitch, it makes parking a trailer so much more precise.

I'll bet it's been 30+ years since I had to back up a trailer so I need all the help I can get!

It will work great as a "parking indicator" and "damage protector" when you park up against an excessively high curb stop.

I use em to tow two grain wagons at once all the time.

But I stay off the highway doing that......

I can handle two single axle trailers at once, but I'm not very good yet at backing up two grain wagons with front steer and fixed rear axles. My son is a trucker and can do trains.

You can call yourself a trucker when you can throw a Road Ranger 18 spd into high range reverse and back a semi up at over to 20 mph for a mile without jack-knifing...believe me, that back trailer wheel has your undivided attention in the mirror!!!!

I recently watched a "trucker" attempt to do a straight back up (not around a corner) w/ a B-train about 70 feet. He had a 40 foot wide alley to work with. Took him 8 tries. Each time he'd pull ahead to straighten out the rig, start backing up & immediately start cranking the steering wheel. It was painful to watch.

If you can't back up, you should never get a license to go forward...

.... well, like they say, "boat" is an acronym for "break out another thousand"...... I doubt sail makes it cheaper. Good luck, and hopefully you plan on bringing us along as you bring the old girl up to snuff....
