  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

I gave it a damn good look too. But for me it's a 10 hour drive round trip and with the trailer to drag me down, prolly another 400 in fuel. I'll be thrilled to know that you got it. But I'll wait till it's on route to your shop before I actually say YOU SUCK out loud.....

Soooo, I got it !!!! Super excited - and this is understatement :) It moderately used and well preserved. Tons of accessories. We had to disassemble it a bit - ir was too heavy for my flimsy trailer. Head with column is removed as one single assembly and table is removed as well. I was driving to and back from Orono and then was unloading all the stuff - was completly crushed by the evening.
The guy was really generous - he "threw in". many things that are great for machine shop - it will take me a week to go through and just memorize everything that i've borough back. Really - deal of the year!
Unfortunately, he is closing his shop - from what has left is only a shaper (not sure what is the model) rather big, and some pile of random stuff. Dows somebody interested in shaper ?
