Product Canadian made vise

Anybody know the make of this vine? Tag says made in Canada but the rest is unreadable

That is the heaviest *vine* that I've seen! (just kidding)

It could be by one of a dozen companies. Dominion Works used to make vises until WW2, and that looks about right. But that is just a guess.

I was going to say that it has a kinda Rohm vibe to it but that's obviously not a Canadian brand.

I used to have some old Canadian machining magazines from the 50's that I was going to snoop through the advertisements but I can't find them

I found them but the latest is 1952 but no vise ads.

That looks like a resellers tag, rather than a makers one.

J.M. Opinion, but have seen far too many machine tools listed for sale as being "made" (< air quotes there!) by, for instance Barer Machine Tools.

Not very many tool distributors were that shy about slamming their own labels on to th estuff they sold, no matter the source!
