I think aeroderivative gas turbines are also a contender for power generation in data centers from what I'm reading. At least in NatGas prevalent areas, probably including western Canada.

There was a time, early in the life of the Pratt and Whitney PT-6 engine, that they ran the entire production facility on the South Shore of Montreal, on the power generated by one PT-6 that was being endurance tested.
Given the general responses that I have seen posted about the net miserable effect on local power grids, when another AI Data Center opens in an area, I would not be surprised to see the trend run towards REQUIRING the Data Centers, provide their own power sources. A Hush House, is a thing. Effectively, a giant muffler or silencer, to allow flat out runs of very powerful jet engines, to not make enough noise to be noticed over normal ambient noise levels.
As a funny side note, one of my younger brother's jobs for a while, was coordinating the transport trains carrying coal that was owned by the company he worked for, to Power Plants that existed solely to power the Data Centers that ran the likes of Google, Apple, Amazon, and others. The key criteria for that coal, was that it contained too many pollutants, such that the mainland Chinese were not willing to buy it...
Regarding snow/ice removals... A bit over 8 years on the flight line in Moose Jaw as a Technician working around the Tutor aircraft (J-85 Can40 engines, no afterburners), among others, in winter conditions, I'll state that in my opinion, we could not afford enough jet fuel ever, to counter a prairie winter's cold, in against the cold that is embedded in the mass of concrete that is the flight line!
