Tips/Techniques A (mostly) Successful Investment Casting.

Tips/Techniques
Use a wire brush with very fine bristles to gently free casting residue.
Using the shop vac should work to clear out your cavity.
The vacuum should clean out the cavity quickly, but, you will lose some heat energy.

If you are concerned about hot particles, put a ‘Drop Out‘ canister in the vacuum line.
A 2.5 gallon pail with a volute for the inlet hose fitting and a screened exhaust vent should work.
The ‘Drop Out’ could be setup so that the bigger particles collect in the canister which would be in the vacuum line, before the shop vac canister.
Use a long vacuum line, this will ensure that hot particles wiLL not make it to the shop vac.
