2.2 KW VFD, $70.39, Fullfilled by Amazon.ca

Not one of those vfd's but the Yaskawa ones I have I am able to power the 220v units and even run them successfully at 110, later I read somewhere that there would be an obvious reduction in current capability at 110 and it faulted out easily. I did start it using a variac to bring up the voltage past 120 to about 140 it didn't cut out as easy at the higher voltage.
Has anyone hooked one of these 220v VFDs to 110v?

i got both of my $55 vfd's the other day. Going to supercharge my 17" craftsman drillpress sometime soon.
