  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     I do not have a level. If you only budget for one. What size for a hobby guy? My largest lathe has a 36" bed length. I'm assuming these are like other levels .....different size for different problems........but what can I make due with. (I have never checked the level on any of my machines.)

    Shop Dangerous shop lights

    I tested a few of these light before deciding on them when I was doing my garage. One thing I did noticed was there are lights with aluminum "leafs" and lights with plastic "leafs" that look exactly the same. The aluminum leaf acts like a heat sink. Not sure what the plan was for the plastic...

    I have an X1C. Just printing causes fumes and a slight film build up in the machine. What is going to happen when laser cutting? That smoke has to go somewhere. Built in dryer on the AMS. I'm not sure how or if that will work. You need a fair bit of drying time on most filaments before...
