CA-AB It pays to shop around.

I needed a 5 gallon pail of Mobil DTE Heavy Medium and called around to some vendors I've dealt with in the past. Grainger Canada quoted $319, Motion Industries quoted $264 and Bluewater Lubricants quoted $128.

Spindle lock handle for my mill

Something that has annoyed me about my new mill is the handle for the spindle lock is only 1.25" long. I have to really crank on it to make the spindle lock tight enough so the power drawbar doesn't move the spindle down when tightening a collet I also wanted to move the handle to the rear of...

    Project flycutter.

I have a flycutter that I made many years ago. It’s served it’s purpose and works OK for machining pieces less than 6” across. I have used different 5/8” shank lathe tools, both positive and negative rake with varying results as shown in these pics. When I’ve tried to use it at larger...

    Drafting light table for tracing.

Very cool light table that my wife has used for tracing sewing patterns. Free to a good home but you must carry it out of our basement. The top is 30 X 46 and it's 37 high.
