    Shawn's plane projects

In previous posts, I have found there is some interest in aircraft. As I venture into the rebuilding of mine, I thought I might post questions, comments or updates here. I don't know if there will be much machining oriented aspects, but one of the first projects is. The plane is a "taildragger"...

Ot - Anyone with a Cricut?

I have a Portrait. Same idea I think. It was a "gotta have" moment a couple of years ago, got it, tried it once, and now it sits. I still need to figure out how to use it. Would be great for labelling machine projects that I have made in the shop. Or maybe the upcoming instrument panel, or...

Someone needed to justify their job I guess and ran out of code amendments so decided to change the tape colour. Good for another year or so before another decision...

    Precision Mathews TL Lathe

I bought a new PM1236 PEP a couple of years ago. Not the TL series, but as for service, I think PM is great. I had a motor starting issue and they had a start capacitor in the mail to me immediately after receiving my question about the motor not starting in a higher gear. I said that maybe we...
