    Peavey Mart Closing

Walmart site (their own site, not a spoof!) got me with that scam last year. Got the money back, but no more ordering anything thru Walmart’s site.

How? Um, how does a guy get six of those wrenches? I’m impressed with you sir. Or disturbed… Too late for the OP, but one of my this summer projects will be to make a new screw and nut for my SB9 tailstock so that the wrench moves away from the topslide on tightening. Maybe this will be user...

    Shop Flooring Materials

Yup, dust control is key for me. My first garage shop had unsealed concrete floor. Within a few years there was much grinding of concrete by chips underfoot and concrete dust everywhere. New shop had concrete epoxied after deep HCL etch before any machines were brought in. A little spendy, but...

    Lapping granite?

I’ve lapped cast iron and steel. No experience lapping granite. Or measuring flatness to extent needed for a grade A surface plate. Am semi seriously thinking about getting a granite straight edge for use as a master for re touching longer cast iron straight edges. No space here for a surface...

    Shop Flooring Materials

Duck boards in front of machines. 3/8” thick cork tiles in front of workbench. Easy cleanup, nice for the back and knees, and best of all, free. Well, for me at least- previous neighbor covered her entire driveway with these instead of fixing or replacing the concrete. New neighbor used most for...
