  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Yippy. Even more boring videos to come!!

Terminated last last June, it has now been restored. Repetitive inquiries yielded "our decision is final" "there is nothing we can do", "the decision was carefully and thoughtfully made", somehow through the fog I reached someone. And they apologized. Or at least the bot did.

At one point Dan said he'd watched the channel and there is nothing there that remotely should trigger a termination, and I appreciate that as when something like this happens, some will think "yeah sure you didn't do anything" (and it was a really dirty feeling being accused by them and then in response to "what have I done", no reference to the content that bothers them, just "violation of guidelines, our decisions is final". Put's a dark cloud over you)

An extremely frustrating process and the hubris was palpable, but I guess they have to wade through a lot of dross so they get dismissive. Just glad it is back. Thanks for the pointers and encouragement from the good folks here.
