Now I’m sure I have angered the machining gods.

Was looking at brewing transfer pumps thinking they might work. One has this in the write up though. I guess I should add looking for an 115v oil pump that isn’t hundreds of dollars. I guess I could find some sort of hydraulic pump off something and couple it to a small 115v motor.

5ft would be a joy. I warned steel framers on a job they said they would move. All they did was put a 2ft piece of drywall behind their chop saw that was directly against the glass. One little clean square. Whole wall of rustic glass lol!

@Susquatch i had it apart when I removed my spindle out of the lathe. It wasn’t working well then It’s a small one directional gear pump, the gear was held on with red loctite which broke loose, the seal on the main shaft Was gone. yup! Glazer by trade. The amount of times we’ve had to replace whole walls of brand new glass with backcharges ranging from 15k for a couple pieces. 25-50k, and one that was 75% of the buildings glass and I heard the glass alone was over 100k Staggering how often it happens after you warn...

I think all my rednecking “good enough” projects has angered the gods! Saddle of the lathe back together. Used it for a minute and it was making an odd noise. Checked to make sure the oil pump was working, noticed the shop made coupler between the stock shaft and the shop fitted replacement...

Well I guess I’ll be taking my lathe saddle apart now.

Well that’s was easy! I feel like I’ve been missing out on crackmaster carr all this time. If I had know I could get it THE NEXT DAY for under 50$ I would have just replaced it to start!

Oddly enough I just clicked order on the webpage, used my work email/name/credit card and it went through. I guess I’ll find out. Still need to figure on a steel for the shaft. It’s a little harder to file then mild, but not much.

I think the window company we sub from occasionally get stuff from them. Msybe see if I can get a favour if I can’t get myself. Or I do have Credit cards for my bosses construction company could order on that. He’s cool with it.

Yeah I’ll be giving them a call during the week for sure. At least I’ve got the technical specs to look elsewhere. Maybe a local supplier there’s a few around

Thanks for the link Craig! I did not get a pic, honestly I was rushing a bit to get done before I had to leave. I really wanted it done today. I used a hss blank to push it straight, and a small machinist square to check for parallel. Little but lost to filing. Rolled smooth in the rack...
