Tool Vevor Drill Bit Sharpener Improved

I don't have the files, hopefully David does. If not, I may be able to get them. I'd give VERY HIGH ODDS that your PP-13C is the same as a Vevor 13C not the 13B. The basic units are all very similar, but the A, B, C, D, etc each have slightly different implimentations. As far as I have been...

    Really ?

I wasn't arguing about that. You are absolutely right. I am only saying that some are willing to take more risks than others. You could be right. Again, that wasn't my point. My point was about taking risks. No way in hell am I gunna skydive. True risk aside, it's outside my PERCEIVED risk...

How to clean inside a cylinder

I think that one doesn't have fine stones or a choice of stones. I just used it as an example of what you can get. You can get them with fine stones. I suppose you might also be able to add sand paper for metal too. But that might take some creativity.

    Really ?

Humans make decisions based on many factors, not just safety and risk. Thrillseeking with activities like skydiving and rodeos don't make any sense at all to many of us. Similarly we take risks driving to work each and every day. In that context, it's easy to think about the safety of a helmut...

Practical VFD use for VFD newbies

It is less reliable. And I have seen the evidence to prove that. However, as I said in my first comment sometimes it is fine such as where the wire connection does not move. As I also said, I only use that when I can't use a terminal. I usually find it MUCH better than bare wire.

Some stuff needs a ride to Vancouver Island and Ontario.

Wow....... Now that's what I call a move! I knew you were thinking about such a move based on your many questions, but I didn't expect to see you move so soon. I trust everything has gone well for you and can't wait to hear all about it.

Practical VFD use for VFD newbies

Ya, good quality crimpers are a joy to use. Crappy ones are hateful. I've learned to spend a bit on crimpers. I've discussed this elsewhere on the forum. Crappy crimpers are just crap.

Practical VFD use for VFD newbies

Although I have a good selection of crimp on terminals, I often just solder the stranded wire ends and then close the screw terminals on that. You can sometimes also evenly split the wires and then solder each side of the split to make a "Y" or a "U" that is easy to tighten the screw terminal...

You are right to be concerned. This discussion could go south in a fly's heart beat. Why don't you send a few of us a PM and maybe we can help.

    Chain wear

I think your normal practice is fine. I think a particular set of unusual circumstances bit you. I'll bet the chain turns out to be fine. I'd guess there was just something harder than the chain in the mix and then the tire and continuous movement turned that into a thousand miles of constant...
