  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     Attached pic of my gear train, I can only cut threads section F 36 thru 3, i have zero info for this lathe, my quest is to cut proper change gears for threads and feed listed, doesn't seem to have a lot of options. it appears as there are 2 spots for extra gears "oops all the pic are rotated

    I bought the modern 1440 a while back, my buddy bought the grizzly they were almost the same price at the time the grizzly was way heavier an rigid compared to modern. i sold it and bought an older 16x40 just my two cents

    McMastercarr has some but they want the price gold for one. I replace the one in the tailstock a few years ago but manage to make the cutting tool but these are a bit smaller in dia.

    Hi Guys took my cross slide apart to make new nuts im not sure of the tap size the screw is 18mm 5 TPI or .700 +- 5 TPI left hand My compound is is the same but right hand Any idea were I can get these taps? I may have found a tap its a TR18 5 left hand tap on ebay thanks
