  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

    Bambu Lab 3rd Anniversary Sale

@Susquatch you are the one I was thinking of when I posted this. If you want to get a feel, the A1 mini is $219. If you think your models will exceed 180x180x180 mm, then anything else will work A1 to X1.

    Bambu Lab 3rd Anniversary Sale

Don't know the latest. Depends on what you want to do with it. I use it for fun stuff (toys), decorations, parts, utility items, my own design solutions, etc. I have no issue with it at all. I use both a computer and my phone to operate, monitor and control it as I wish. I believe a lot of...

    Bambu Lab 3rd Anniversary Sale

For those looking to start, add, upgrade, etc, their 3D printing journey, here is where I suggest you start. I have had my A1 mini since last September (and I am still in love with it) and now I have added the P1S as the cost effective, print everything I need in the near future, enclosed core...

    3C Collet: 12 mm

To update and I guess close this thread: Ian Moss is a class act! I received his parcel today and felt like a kid unwrapping a perfectly packaged and wrapped box! All was safe and sound with the foam wrap and individually segregated collets to ensure none rubbed each other during their travel...

    Physical activities…..

All I can say is it is never too late to start and start with something that makes you feel motivated to do again. Don't think about how much you used to be able to do and getting back to that quickly, that will only hurt any progress and most likely end up in injury. Whatever it is, stick...

    Physical activities…..

I have run a treadmill most of my adult life and do push-ups and crunches most of the time. I work 8-5 five days a week and when I started working from home about 8 years ago, I have spent every lunch hour doing these exercises. Much better than coming home after work and exercising before...

Fair enough. Thank you. I already have a basic imperial set BUT if his sizes fall between mine than I might be interested.

    3C Collet: 12 mm

I might be interested. What sizes do you have, where do you live and what are you asking for them? PM me if you wish.

    3C Collet: 12 mm

Thanks all! I did look at the Hardinge before and choked on the price. I never saw Rotagrip: great resource! I placed an order that comes out to $38 CAD! Wasn't asked for payment yet but the order is placed.

    3C Collet: 12 mm

It is an 8.375" long drive shaft that I am replacing. I already ordered the 12 mm stock. Needs to fit bearings. Easier to deal with correct sized stock to start with. Collet work makes things easier if I can get it.

Not even close with the 1/2 3C. I would need to shim it.
