  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

To update and I guess close this thread: Ian Moss is a class act! I received his parcel today and felt like a kid unwrapping a perfectly packaged and wrapped box! All was safe and sound with the foam wrap and individually segregated collets to ensure none rubbed each other during their travel halfway across Canada. Thank you very much!!

I also received my 12 mm 3C collet from Rotagrip today! I was concerned about the transaction as I paid with credit card by sending to two different emails breaking up the number and the security code and expiry. That said, they quickly received the emails and confirmed the transaction sending it out same day. Cost? $20.15 GBP which I believe came to about $38 CAD shipped. Really not bad considering I couldn't find it anywhere else especially for that low price and for such quick shipping (4 days).
