Where in the Calgary area should i look to get a sheet of say 12g to 20g steel. Prefer 4x8 sheet. I want to build a backsplash for my lathe and some other projects. The angle that I have is pretty thick. 1x1 at 1/8" would be nice. In the end even better would be to have it bent but I am not in that frame of mind at this time.

federal metals, 4x8 16g is 92$

calgary metal market is pretty decent for full sheets as well

So far federal has the best price for the sheet and angle. I might switch to Al as they have really good pricing on it right now.

i would go with al for the few extra bucks, i did my backsplash out of 16g 5052, looks great, doesnt rust and its bright without painting.

They only sell In half lengths, full lengths and full sheets

If your ok with that they are no problem, 10 feet of 3/8 round or 200ft of 2x2 tubing, they don't care.

There are 2 guys working in that tent and that's all they do

Even working with guys who spend 1mil + at varsteel will still run over there if they just need a 10footer right now

Sounds like their pricing is good enough as long as you can haul it, it would be worth it.

its usually my first go to if im not ordering through someone, even if you end up with more than you need its still worth it over going to most of the other small time suppliers
