Will this work for my Atlas 618?

The key is that you have to get your cutters low enough to cut on centre. That Busybee set is "AXA" size but most people use the smaller "0XA" size with a 618. You might possibly be able to make it work with 1/4 inch shank tools as the cutting edge will automatically be at a lower height. The AXA boring, parting and knurling tools will likely be a problem, though.

I don't have a 618, but have a myford s7 and the OXA post is what you want for that size. I got a tormach brand from little machine shop a long time ago. Quality piece, but I'm sure there are better sources for them now. They weren't that popular back then on the import scene compared to AXA sizes.

This one from amazon looks identical to mine, and reviews seem decent. That is way cheaper than what I paid, and I'm almost tempted to get another one from when I finally get around to retrofitting my little CNC lathe so I can share holders.

This one is even cheaper with the $28 off coupon. And 5pcs holders are pretty cheap too. I had no idea these smaller OXA holders had made it to the cheap import market now.....I'm living under a rock lol.....
 
That was my next question to the group Dan... about the Amazon one you posted. Saw that same set yesterday (funny how these OXA sets run from this price to double!)
 
To be honest, Knowing Tormach, I'm not sure the one I bought from Little machine shop years ago is any different than the ones posted on amazon right now. Most likely all came from the same place. If you do buy it, I'd suggest replacing the set screws right away. Made from soft cheesium....The rest of it is pretty decent. IMO the wedge type is much prefered over the plunger, and these repeat very well. I made a bunch of extra holders for mine, and was planning on making some more, but will most likely buy some now that I know they're that cheap.
