Why I hate selling stuff

I loved the video, that seems to happen more and more. Also the reverse, going to buy something, lining it all up, and the seller goes quiet, or sells it out from under you.

this is exactly why I acquire stuff and never seem to want to sell anything. I don't sell on FB, so I usually use kijiji. The Kijidiots come out in full force when I list something , every time.

I too hate selling stuff, that being said, I think I just sold the 10k I have been using for the past 10 years or so. As much as I try and not take in any outside work, I let my defences down a little some time back and helped out one of our local wildfire firefighters that has taken up hotrodding chainsaws. Last time he came by, I offered up the lathe for $400, which is what I paid for a bunch of parts lathes that I am going to replace it with. It won't come with much for tooling, but I did offer a bit of tech support and the mandrels etc that I made to do the work I did for him. He seems pretty excited, and I get to start on another project......
That's my story, and I am sticking with it... As part of the deal, he is supposed to join up here and absorb the wisdom that is so freely offered by the members here.

Holy smoking deal! $400 for a 10K

It was a win for both of us, he gets a well worn but perfectly usable lathe, and I don't have to feel guilty about not being able to get to his projects as quickly as we would both like.
I have another 10k stored on the floor under the 13" that I am looking forward to toying with for a while. I will probably charge more for this one..... The end goal is a little 9" that I picked up for $50.00, that once cleaned up some, shows very little wear. Unfortunately it's a 9c, but I have kept all of the pieces to convert to a 9a. Depending on how I feel when the time comes, I might convert the 10k to metric, and keep it, as I have almost everything for that as well...... This is a serious first world problem that I am facing here, and I am pretty sure that the only help I am going to get from you guys is advise on applying for building permits:rolleyes:
