Looking at making my own version of the baja no-pinch tire installation tool. Like this one here
https://www.amazon.ca/BAJA-NO-PINCH-1001-Motorcycle/dp/B00J41H2DO $227 for the basic kit or $391 for the deluxe
That incentivizes me to try to make something based on the same principles. So where can I source some rack and pinion? where would they be used is something else that I could repurpose? looking for about 10mm x 10 mm x 200 mm thanks

I’ve bought racks and pinions from McMaster-Carr.

Thank fellas, I actually have looked there but it seemed like it added up quickly once you had your parts and the shipping for something that you are not sure if it is going to work on not

Motion Industries has outlets in Canada, but as you're finding out buying "new" racks / gears is not cheap.
