What to use to seal oil site glasses?

"the right stuff" is pretty tolerant of oil contaminated surfaces. It's not cheap, and they don't sell it in smaller metal squeeze tubes (afaik), but it "should" work great here. https://www.permatex.com/products/g...right-stuff-black-1-minute-gasket-maker-5-oz/

Like Mcgyver I have a leak issue that can't be sealed (by my conventional methods) only on the carriage. I've tried silicone, plumbers tape and plastic sheet. All will leak eventually. Going to give this a try.....
