I just fixed my split handle with a couple of 2” Gear Clamps.
Looks like the shovels will be in use . . . Friday in SW Ontario.

I have 2 tractors with loaders and a skid steer, not going to wreck my back any more than it is already with a damn piece of plastic on a stick.

Split handle shovel repair: open up the split, smear it up with gorilla glue or any polyurethane type glue - make sure to get good coverage. Wrap handle back together with hockey tape. Let things cure.

The shovel is used for the steps.
My 8hp ‘ Briggs & Stratton‘ snowblower handles the heavy stuff that the city plows into the end of the lane and any friendly neighbours.
