In the past I've put masking tape around all the connectors and headers and then sprayed on the conformal coating. Each board takes about 5 to 8 minutes and there's a lot of wasted tape.

Well it did take me just as long to design all the covers to have a close tolerance fit but I have to make another bunch this spring so the time saved will pay back then.

No tape needed. Now 15 seconds to put on the covers.
