Unknown Welding Rods

Can anyone identify these?
It's a bunch of Linde Union Carbide rods with no identifying marks. Though the end of the coating isn't great there are not even traces of identifying numbers.
I'd like to think that they might be good for something....

They look like tinbasher rod,6013. I used 1/8" 6013 for fill when I blew a hole making hand rail. I used 7018 for hand rail but it could get kinda hot, and I wasn't the best welder. I used 3/32 6013 for repairing sheet metal guards. That was what it was originally designed for. autos. Thus the nickname tinbasher.

Could be old 6010 as well, Lincoln used to make red 6010, I'm sure others did as well

Burn a rod or two, should tell you

Thank you , @Downwindtracker2

Is this what some people call "idiot rod"? If so, its just right for me.

Long, long ago I took a community college evening course in "agricultural welding", and we were told that the easiest rod for casual bumblers like me was 6013, or, as I recall, idiot rod.

I weld very infrequently, but, when I start a little job, with 6013 I have to waste only three or rour rods practicing until I can produce something distantly approaching a decent bead. This big tube of rods, which I got for cheap, should make good practice material.

Tell me what? How?
I'm pretty dumb about this., as you can see from my previous post.

If it smells like a campfire and burns very harsh it's 6010/6011, the slag will be kind of airy for 6010, little less so with 6011, the weld with both will not be smooth

6013 will be more soft, weld will have a smoother appearance, and the slag will be denser and chip off in pieces

That's assuming it's something common and not a specialty rod, im surprised it has no markings, rods usually have a marking at the end where there is no flux

Thank you. I'll try burning some.
Don't know why the rods aren't marked, but I can't go back now to Union Carbide and ask.:-)

Like 6010/6011, 6013 is a "whip and pause" rod. Just much easier to use and not so sparky.

I don't remember ever seeing a brown 6010/6011. But I only go back to the 80s, by then Liquid Air was pretty universal.
