  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Travelling from Squamish to Calgary?

Thought I would post here...you just never know.

I'm trying to get 5 discontinued fence panels from Rona Squamish to Calgary. (Or somewhere closer to Calgary). They measure 95-1/2" W x 12" H x 1" thick. Not too sure of the weight, but guessing each panel would be 30 - 40 pounds.

Willing to work with you to make it worth your time. :)

Just an update. I stumbled on VanKam Freightways LTD. . Looks like they only do western Canada.

Very helpful. Reasonable pricing. I am going to give them a try. Will update after I receive my items.


Might be a good option for the guys out west if their service follows thru with the delivery.

Picked package up in Calgary on Wednesday. Package left Squamish Monday. Reasonable shipping time. Super friendly pick up at Mustang Freightways Ltd here in Calgary. VanKam and Mustang must have some type of agreement. $170 dollars seemed pretty reasonable to me.

Hopefully this might be of use to someone.
