  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. Tool transformation question

Yes and no. I'm sure you could roll SOME profiles and some operations you could on a bead roller, but for the modifications required, you'd be much better off putting that effort into building your own bead roller from scratch, or buying one on sale, and modifying it (search the required modification for commercial rollers). The function is pretty different, and you'd lose the synced driven wheels which are vital for rolling profiles.

Besides, you're not short cutting this process here man, that's not how this metalworking thing works....You want to do one simple thing like form a panel and tip the edges, you need to buy/build/repair 12 tools in order to do it. Trying to circumvent the money and space requirements by making multipurpose tools will cause a rift somewhere in the space/time continuum or something........:D
 
It is possible although the dies would be a problem the second pic could do it with the hand crank but I believe it’s more for crushing welds while rolling.
