Timer

To conserve propane, I turn off the propane furnace in the shop when I go in at night. The little wood boiler heating the floor burns for another 4 hrs or so before the temp of the water drops and the temp sensor shuts the pump off. In the morning, I have coffee in my office in the house, do invoices, and use the wifi thermostat to turn the heat on in the shop. This morning i got a webservice error, and I had to walk out 180 feet, each way and turn the furnace on and rekindle the fire. It was minus freakin 23 this morning. Oh the humanity!!

I'm not that fancy. Or capable.
I was thinking that way but Doggggboy beat me to it. Seriously though this is the simplest and most cost effective way to go. Arduino has a whole family of controllers and any one would do the job. They are easy to program and simple to learn if you have not done it before. Also it would introduce you to a whole new galaxy which you would find very interesting and useful.

To wrap up. The timer @TorontoBuilder recommended is doing the trick.
Programmed it to run the vacuum for 3 minutes every three hours. Sucks up enough water from the mat to prevent it from overflowing and then dump it once a day depending on the temperature and amount of slush dripping off the Yukon.
If it's minus 30 then I don't need it as there is no dripping.
Thanks for all the alternate suggestions. Everything from digging a sump to moving. I'm sure at least one of you turned down the offer of being Finance Minister today :)

Ooooh the decision maker of the broken Piggy Bank!
Mmmmm pass.
