Tilley Tuff Utility pants

I was in Rona the other day and saw a display for Tilley Tuff wear. I've been wanting a pair or two of dedicated shop pants but balked at the price of Carrharts.
Picked up a pair today, Definitely heavy duty, nicely made and finished. Space for knee pads and lots of pockets.
Paid $69 each less 10% for spending over $100.

Three and a half years ago I was on site that had casual Fridays. Not having an Hawaii shirt I observed the day by wearing pajamas instead. Life changing, instead of being a fashionista in over priced cardboard Carharts, I was comfortable. On my next birthday I decided to introduce and honor pajama Thursdays. I'm now up to pajama Tuesday. My last year working will be PJs everyday to ease me into retirement.

I don't have any Carhart pants but plenty of jackets and overalls. My biggest beef is not having a great Canadian supplier for Carhart. I did recently find one place that's fairly local, before that I had been using a place in Michigan.

I like Marks pants for wear and price but I find marks has gotten away from work clothes

Peavey Mart used to carry Carhart. But those days are over. You can often find them at great prices at farm supply places though.
We never had great options up here, and I never knew why. The jackets I purchased in Michigan this spring, was told by a Canadian dealer they likely couldn't get them, if I wanted to replace them. My older long Johns were purchased in Syracuse Ny, and that's going back a dozen years now

That would be Marks WORK Wearhouse??

I used to spend a lot of money at Marks until the bean counters took control.

It was great in the beginning, I could buy tall sizes (6’ - 4”) that I couldn’t buy anywhere else at surprisingly low prices but since the bean counters took control they seem to cater to the 46 x 32 pant size, no more 36 inseam in any style at any price.

At other places I get so tired of the lame excuse of “we’re out of stock, we don’t stock much because we don’t sell a lot of those sizes”. Hard to sell what you don’t have in stock.

It’s hard being green (It’s hard being tall).

I just bought a Jean Jacket and was surprised to find out that when I tried to put my notepad in the pocket it didn’t fit… for some reason the stitching goes 1/2” along the top on both sides so the pockets are big enough but the opening is reduced by approximately 1”.
