I watched that last night I’ve not tried making a core yet but have the sodium silicate. I’m thinking about looking for some flux/degasser tablets and fero silicon for this year.

Years ago when I was first getting into casting I visited the foundry in Delburne. One of the things I came away with was a pint jar of aluminum flux. It does make for a cleaner melt. As far as I could find out is that it is mostly potassium chloride aka low sodium salt.
