  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. no problems... just challenges
So I finally got the courage to attempt some kind of operations with the TA my centenarian came with.
After giving the attachment a good clean and scrape with a razor blade, I figured out what to do in order to set the angle of the dangle...that was the easy part.
First thing that confused the hell out of me was...why isn't the crossfeed screw turning...
After a little google-fu and one video from Abom79...my worries about something being jammed or getting broken were put to rest...
And now...behold...my first attempt in learning...

This was a bushing pin from a 40 ton rated Hendrickson suspension. It already had a taper on it. So I used it as a guide to setup the operation.
The rust band you see is where the threads stopped.
