I have always wanted one of these. I just about bought one when Lee Valley Tools used to carry them. They stopped selling them and I have regretted ever since that I didn't get one while I could.

That's why I jumped on this one. I have some smaller parts to make and I think these lathes are good for that. Its only taken me to my 50's to be able to afford to have the tools I wanted as a teen. lol. I guess that's how the real world works.

Don't have the lathe any more. Bought it for my Dad when he moved to a condo. He had a shop most of his life and I owe him a great debt for all he taught me. He is long gone now, but somehow I still have this gold anodized toolpost for the Taig.

I had the lathe running. It's really neat. I'm going to try making the valve seats for my project on it. It's not been used much. The seller was awesome and sells fly fishing equipment. So we visited a bit when I picked it up. The book was an great plus as well as the milling attachment.

Hi Ian. Sorry to hear your dad has passed. I think I have the same tool post check the pictures I posted. Are you in the Calgary area?
