Tool Speeds Feeds slide calculator

Tool
The calculators arrived, awesome implementation and quality.
Order the 0965-EN, the -DE has same info except in German. metric only.

Works for mill (cutters) and lathe (workpiece). shows metal removal rate as a bonus

See post #1 in this thread for contact info.

Front and back plus Niagara Cutter one for size comparison. The Garant implementation is plastic with no windows to trap dirt. Vs NC one that you have to pull out of a sleeve and won't fit in your pocket. Guess which one I will be using :)

@gerritv went to the web site you listed [email protected] unfortunately I couldn't come up with the 0965_EN calculators.

Damn I hate this getting old. LOL

I love these type of calculators and have collected quite a few of them over the years (and will continue to buy them when I see them). I have a very visual brain, and these help me from getting lost in calculations and equations sometimes. They also really drive home how speeds and feed are related to other parameters for newcomers to machining. I've used mine for teaching plenty of times, when it seems like people just aren't totally grasping and getting sfm, chipload, etc, and watching them slide and see the results change and that lightbulb moment go off when they "get it" is pretty awesome.

With the phone apps, and website calculators, the old paper slide ones are a bit old school, but IMO they still have a place.

I agree. The problem with the apps is that you can't easily adapt to your machine. In Stefan's example, there reco is 5000 rpm, which his mill can't do. So he moves over to 2000 rpm and continues from there. That to me is the real benefit to a properly designed slide calculator. This particular one is beautifully made as a bonus. No paper involved.
Got a link to unitectools? [email protected] doesn't work for me....
Yes, it would be the domain part of the email address, so https://unitectools.com

Hey @YYCHM,

I couldn't find it on the web site either. But I sent him an email asking for info and a sales link. I'll post it here when I get it.

Unitectools is a distributor for Hoffmann Group. They sell anything and everything in the Hoffmann catalog. That is why I provided the link to that catalog page. So look up /find what you want in the Hoffmann catalog, then contact Reza at UnitecTools.com to place an order. Most things seem to be 2 week lead time.
The Unitectools website itself is a bit confusing to me as wel, it is a subset of the full catalog

110965 is US18 which compares nicely to CA$24 that I paid. Mailing was free in a padded Canada Post envelope

The Hoffmann catalogs are at https://www.hoffmann-group.com/US/en/hus/services/flip-catalogue/e/66221/
