And at that price it will still be there in another month.
Sheesh.

I mean good on him/her(they?) if they get the 4K for it, but wow. It sure makes trying to get into the hobby a tad difficult. Lol. Well that and being on a covid multimonth layoff too. Haha.

Looks like a late model 10K, pretty similar to mine. No way is that worth more than 1,000-1,500.

That means my SB 13s should be worth like 6k each & at 4k they should be a "steal of a deal" LOL. Plus they are in ... Ontario where lathes are more common then anywhere else in Canada.

Maybe a typo and it really is just $400? Someone in ON ask him. I think for $400 it is a great deal!

This is exactly what I am going through looking for a lathe in SE Ontario currently. I've ran a few wanted ads and seem to get guys like this. Someone offered me a southbend 10L that needs rebuild/put back together with a few odds and ends for $2500, the seller said the lathe should fetch $4000 to $5000 easily once restored (Highly doubt that, most people will buy new for that price), got offered a non running as is where is Colchester dominion 13" with no tooling for $3000. I'd love to find a SB 10L or 13 or even an Atlas/craftsman but man its frustrating. No problem with needing rebuild or work, but I wish people would come down to earth a little bit.

Given some of the machines for sale recently that one seems pretty decent.

yes it does actually, it has a lot of extras that go with it including QC GB. unfortunately we are in lock down again in Ontario and I don't want to be traveling at the moment.

Yes, I hear ya - I've been looking for months. Get tired of looking at antique pieces of junk priced at 2 ~ 4 X what they're really worth.

For these in Calgary I have a SB 13 for sale - don't need two. Can sell one and then see what to do with the other one.
