Source for Lead in Calgary

Try the scrap yards like Empire. Don't know if they sell but last time I was there they had tons of wheel weights. Another option is lead sheets used in commercial roofing. Perhaps a commercial roofer would have a contact. They would be new though.

I used to buy lead from Canada Lead. I think their minimum invoice is too pricey for your need. Eco Pave used to sell me lead flashing for about 1$ a pound. Indications thay have changed business models, so they might be a bust. Federal metals separate lead and they used to sell it also. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I have to swing by Federal in the next couple of weeks anyway so I'll check there. If that doesn't work I'll look into some of the other suggestions.

Melting lead is very easy. Go to a thrift store and buy a cast iron pot. Torch. etc. No need to be spendy by going to a gun store for a ladel..
