  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Some stuff needs a ride to Vancouver Island and Ontario.

Is anybody from Calgary going to Vancouver Island? And also to Ontario? I have a box of plastic fastener sizers to send out west and east for the members and possibly lathe chuck keys if anybody wants to buy any. I am blowing them out for $10. Canada post will charge about $20-25 to ship but maybe somebody can take them with them if they’re headed that way and leave with a member for more local distribution.

I have 12 or so 3/8 and 12 M10 and a few in the other sizes M11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16mm.

The keys are really nice and a pleasure to use. Adjustable handle for fast or high torque. Stainless steel, spring loaded friction on the torque bar. Twist knurled nut to tighten.
