Some drama on the forum

Hi Members and Friends,

Today I banned a member for the first time (other than spammers - they don't count). We've been remarkably problem free and don't see the flame wars you see on practically any public site - read the comments in a newspaper lately? However - people are stressed and may be saying things they wouldn't in another year. If you find yourself replying to another member in a heated manner - just stop. Don't post. And members - if you disagree that's fine - people have different experiences and please acknowledge you both could be right. Directly contradicting another member is just not helpful. Try not to start a flame war and end up banned.

Abraham Lincoln had an interesting coping strategy. Go write a hot letter and don't mail it. I've used this myself lately.

If there is someones posts you would rather not see you can use the forum feature "Ignore Member". Click on the name link for the person just under their picture and press the "Ignore" button. Any content from that member is no longer visible to you. Sometimes you just don't get along with somebody. I've hit that button.
