SOLD - Myford Lathe

Myford ML7, S/N K34037 (1955-56) for sale. I bought the lathe which was partially disassembled and packed in boxes last April. The lathe had not been cleaned when previously disassembled and consequently covered in oil and metal shavings. This fall and winter I completed the disassembly except where noted later, cleaned all the various parts. The headstock spindle with gears, pulley and faceplate were left intact as I don’t have the tooling to safety disassemble. It became apparent through this process that I do not have the knowledge, skill or tools to fully restore the lathe to a well functioning condition. I recently completed reassembly using light machine oil as a lubricant. A number of BSF and BA fasteners were purchased from Spaenaur to complete assembly. All gears appear to be in good condition. The lathe does have a motor (240V) but since I don’t have a 240 receptacle or the correct cable I have not tested it.
It is time to pass this lathe onto someone who would like a restoration project and/or use as spare parts. I am only interested in recouping the cost of purchase and fasteners bought. I can provide more photographs and try to answer any questions about the lathe’s condition. I am located in the Ottawa Valley and not really willing to ship - the cost of shipping would undoubtably be more than purchase price. $250 OBO

I will take it at your asking price. I will send you a PM- I hope no hurry - pickup is likely an issue if you can't wait.

Thanks
Ok, sounds good. I have moved the lathe off my work bench so no hurry re pickup. I am retired so here most days. You can bring cash the day you pickup the lathe. Any idea of time frame? I will take down the ad today. Have already had another offer - didn't know how much demand there would be for it.

OK, sorry for the confusion, first time on a forum in a long long time. Yes, your offer was the first I received and which I accepted. Maybe further correspondence should be via email.
