  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

So sad. The poor sod limits himself to sockets and wrenches and such

If he got the pickup out of the way there would lots more room.
My garage fillup went in stages. First it was tools around the outside so that I could bring in a car. Then it was tools only in the back so I could bring in half a car. Then I gave up on that idea altogether, and went full "shop" layout, and just work on stuff in the driveway. Which sucks. I would absolutely love to have an indoor space, especially with a hoist, where I could work on vehicles, instead of laying on carboard, or foam pads out on a gravel driveway. Then again, I'd love to be wealthy enough to not HAVE to work on cars too lol.

I’ve been fixing cars since before I could drive. I had taken a little hiatus, but I’m back at it again. I kind of enjoy the challenge most of the time (with the exception of rust, that I hate). But I get not having to work on them, ie you are doing it for fun, not cause you need the vehicle to get to work in the morning
