Well, since you asked, I just now finished up my first run. Everything seems to be 100% - except that I couldn't get the models off of the build plate. I had to fetch a hammer and rather sharp chisel, and even then the plastic (bases) broke and left chunks behind. So I have two problems to solve - how to clean the residual plastic off of the plate, and how to stop it from happening again. Both FAQs, prolly. Still not 'arf bad for all of about $45 invested so far.



So it's official: suck++

Dang, that's awesome! good results for a printer at no charge and first runs with a fresh bottle of resin. I'm now interested in what settings would affect that build plate adhesion. something similar to a raft on FDM would help protect the model itself from sticking, but how that raft would stick to the build plate may be another story of course.

Yup, the overwhelming majority were unstuck

No, it's a metal plate. If there were some intermediate layer (like Mylar), then there'd be two junctions to worry about the adhesion of, and the irregularities they'd add in a system that slices to something like a thou.

I just heard back from Elegoo support (on discord), and they're suggesting tossing the plate in the freezer (I would have guessed heat instead, but I get it) and more alcohol.

Sounds like a plan. If the cold doesn't free it up... I'll start drinking.
