Small Hole gauges….

Sus - how did you make out with your order?

I ordered a set last week just after your post. Website showed in stock. Website still shows in stock as of a few minutes ago.

I got this reply this morning...

We regret to inform you that the last batch of Mitutoyo Hole Gauges was rejected by our Quality team due to quality issues. As a result, we had to cancel your order and refund has been processed.

Kindly note that this model is obsolete and no longer available. Unfortunately, there is no direct replacement for this model.

Anaum looks like it may the TEMU of machine tools:rolleyes:
I got the same message this morning.

I just happened to look at KBC again. They suddenly have one in stock for $45. So I ordered it for pickup (no shipping) to Old Castle. I get to Windsor often enough to make that work. With some luck maybe even tomorrow. No gift though.

That’s cheaper then I got it!

I have a set of these branded as Craftsman. I'm not sure who the actual manufacturer is, but I've been very pleased with the quality. Would be worth looking for as an alternative to the main brands.

Edit: After some brief googling, the No. S-97 set made by General look a lot like the ones that I have so it might have been made by them. Probably also a good option

Are you sure you didn't buy a single bore size even though they show a picture of 4?
I mean it could be, the page looks different than a day ago. Weird things seem to be happening

That would really suck!

If that turns out to be the case, I won't leave the KBC Store with it. I'll return it right then and there.

Edit - I looked at my order. It will be there tomorrow for me to pickup when I am in Windsor. It looks like the whole set.

After all this talk of small hole gauges,I checked mine. They are Mitutoyo, from the look of the red wallet, they were an Ebay purchase. Printed on the case SMALL HOLE GAGES H Code No. 154-901 and in the corner Japan. Each gauge has Mitutoyo , Japan , and A,B,C,D on them. Beside them in the drawer were the box of PA gauges, with a $9.99 sale sticker.

The typical red or orange Mitutoyo wallet is why I asked David where his were made because his wallet is black. I guess they changed colors on certain items. Some of my cases for mics or whatever are tan, others are black. The older ones have that brutal foam that degrades over time, that's usually a sure sign of Mitutoyo LOL
