I received notification of a delivery yesterday at about 1 pm. I was in the shop and I can typically hear anyone walking up the gravel driveway.
Go look in the mailbox. Nothing, Doorstep. Nothing. Next door neighbors nothing.
So I email the vendor who send me proof of delivery this morning including photos of the package on the doorstep of a house, a picture of the package label and a picture of the house number.
Package address is correct and the house number is the same as my house but it's not my doorstep. It's a house a block away on a parallel street thus the same number.

I walk over to the house this morning, ring the bell. Tell them they have a package of mine that was mis-delivered. Dude says "Oh, let me go check if we have it"

Comes back, hands me the opened package and says, "Yeah we had no idea what this was"

In my head I thought, "it wasn't addressed to this house or anyone living at this house, why did you open it?"

Took it and walked away...

Who opens a package that isn't addressed you?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

In their defence I have done the same thing by mistake. My business is at my home and we get so many deliveries, sometimes I open them up before looking at who they are from or addressed to.
I also get my neighbors mail quite often but have never opened a letter. I always stick it in their mailbox on my way to town. They just get it a day late.

Not gonna say it's never happened
