  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

no problems... just challenges
So @ my work, we have a fellow, who let's say...isn't exactly a poster child for Higher IQ Magazine...
This toolbox, in all the years I've been there, faithfully sat upstairs in the maintenance room, minding it's own business...holding tools.
Poster child, in a fit of frustration with something else, slammed the lid shut so hard, it broke the mechanism that locks the drawers.
So after taking what was probably a pry bar to the front of it, he got the tools out, decided it was junk and heaved it in the bin.
I grabbed it of course.
Because stickers obviously.
He could have just left it open. No one but him and one other guy ever used the tools in it.
I can't tell what brand it is, or how old it is...
But now, it has a new lease on life. It's sitting across from the Induma.
With the beginnings of the items I want near the mill in it.

Definitely 1980ish based on the stickers.
I had an almost identical one (bit smaller) basically the same stickers but with a cool ( now defunct) Bison Dragways sticker. It was my very heavy but portable track box. I put in on kijiji and it sold quickly lots of calls. No shortage of nostalgic buyers out there.
