  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. Machine Rockwell Beaver 25-700 parts wanted!

Machine

grease monkey

down to the wood for a sister-in-law in 2015! :(
Hey all, my little Rockwell is due for a going through, and I find that the back gear itself has a tooth missing on both the large and small intermediate gears, so I'm hoping someone on here has one sitting for parts?? the feed transmission also has issues, but I think its just a woodruff key clipped off... here's to hoping!

Also, the 1-2-3-4 indicator wheel on the cross slide also has a tooth missing and doesn't run smoothly, so this as well I would like to replace if I could!

On another note, I'm on the hunt for a keyless chuck on a #2 MT taper also for this lathe, and a MT#3 taper for my Busy Bee 1237G lathe, I do have a MT#6 taper (I think) adapter to a Jacobs #6 taper, if anybody has a need for one??

You have a really nice mill. Just buy the required gear cutter set on Ali Express and make your own gears. It's not that hard to do.

What is that indicator? Are you perhaps referring to the thread dial? Again, easy to make your own gear for it.

Most keyless chucks are on replaceable arbours. Easy to find a chuck and then buy an Arbour on Ali or Amazon or Accusize (with the CHMW discount).

that idler gear would be a trick to do, my skills are not up for that, its a single unit with a large gear on 1 end and a bigger one on the other.
and yes, that is the thread dial, I was just reaching out to fish for parts, if that fails, then option 2 may become option 1!

how does that accusize discount work?

I have great confidence in your ability to do it.

There is a post that explains it on the members only forum. Should be easy to find. I'd post a link but that might make it possible for a non-member to see it.
