Rhino 8 users?

MeshCAM was very underwhelming to say the least.
But Alibre is working on a partnership with EZ-CAM so I'm waiting on those details.
Thanks for the heads up. I just did a quick check their websites, and getting contradictory info at a quick glance. From the easycam side it looks like it's just paired with atom, which I'm not too interested in. I'll check a bit deeper later tonight, maybe download the demo and play around with it. At first glance, it's not too bad. Which version of ezcam do you have?

I'm playing with the full version of EZ-Mill. I think they are promoting Alibre Atom because it's easy to package as a download with EX-CAM.
This a a screen cap from my chat with Chris from EZ-CAM.
I contacted them because the EZ-Mill Xpress screens are a bit different from the full EZ-Mill; workstep in Xpress vs. Automation in the full version.
Like I said in my EZ-CAM post, Chris made a video of him setting up my part so I could see the workflow.

I installed the 14 day demo. Not impressed. It didn't like that I already had a Rev 27 of Alibre Atom installed. So that part of the install didn't work.

I was able to import the part shown previously in this thread. For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to set up the G-Code to make the hole as a pocket. I could select a tool. But after that it looked like it had lots of drawing features and other CAD stuff mixed in with possible CAM stuff. Not impressed. Used Add/Remove programs to clean up the disk space it was using.
All gone.
