Reverse engineer this

I stopped in at Spaneur tonight and spent an hour looking at rubber grommets. We couldn’t find ones that matched.
The counter lady was really helpful but in her words “there’s six measurements and I can’t match all 6”

We got one that was really really close but the inside groove diameter was too wide so it wouldn’t fit the flanges

Looks like unless I can figure out machining rubber I’m stuck paying for them.

Seen this down at KMS today and thought of this thread.
3/4 " thick.

No sure what rig you have, here is a 4pack of condenser mount bushings for USD 8.00

it also seems that the whole condenser (new) can be had for USD 67.00

but of course, if you want to have fun in your shop and turn some rubber, that will work for you as well. I use HSS and usually get the rubber from Princess Auto if quality does not matter too much. If I need a better rubber, I usually turn to Norwesco Industries here in Calgary (not sure who would be the equivalent supplier in the Toronto area)

Yes, Norwesco is where my buddy got rubber (neoprene I think) sheet scraps. The thicknesses might be nominal like 1/8, 3/16... or metric? Around these parts its common for oil & gas related piping or wellhead flanges but I'm guessing any place that deals with large equipment seals or hydraulics. Anyways here is the 'bond-it-together'approach. Three donuts laminated together with steel insert. There are special adhesives which is another issue but I've just used car type gasket adhesive.
